This day was the last day of music and everyone was so happy (I think) even Mr Sadrakh (I think). HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! We had to fill some reflection booklet but no one finished it on time. :(

Today was our Playing our Pentatonic Composition Assessment. I could've memorize my composition but I couldn't I didn't memorize the end part of it.

We practiced our pentatonic composition one by one and Mr Sadrakh told us that our playing the pentatonic composition assessment is on November 24, Thursday.

We had our singing Asian song Assessment, while I was singing I was so nervous. I did my best and I got a score of 9.5 over 10.

10 November 2011 Music Reflection

Since Mr Sadrakh is absent, we didn't do our singing assessment. Instead, we discussed about the Asian booklet Report which we have to submit on Thursday next week. After discussing we sang the Asian song, as a class then as a group.

7 November 2011 Music Reflection

As a class, we samg our Asian Song together then Mr Sadrakh asked us to sing it individually. He commented on our singing and said that we have to improve and practice more, he also announced that the singing assessment is on Thursday.

Today we practice singing the chinese song and the japanese song but since the whole class wanted to sing the japanese song for their assessment we mostly sang the japanese song. Mr Sadrakh sang the chinese song and everybody laughed cause it was funny.

31 October 2011 Music Reflection

Mr Sadrakh gave us 3 songs for our singing assessment but he only allowed us to include the chinese song called little moon boat and the japanese song. We practice singing both songs and we had to pick one song for the assessment, I choose the japanese song!!!!

Mr Sadrakh was absent so Mr John and Mt Harry replaced him for the music session. Mr John asked some students to perform their Pentatonic Melody but just for rehearsing.

17 October 2011 Music Reflection

We got our booklet assessment for our Pentatonic Melody. We sticked our drafts on one side and wrote the final melody on the other side and reflect on it. After we submitted the booklets to Mr Sadrakh, he said some comments on whether it was wrong or correct.

During today's music session, 1 or 2 students from each instrument group were asked to performed their pentatonic melody just to practice and the real assessment performance is on Monday (17 Oct).

Today,we performed the Indonesian Ethnic Song and I got 9.5/10, so close to a perfect score. I was nervous at first but then I calm down.

Today is the day we have to perform the Indonesian Ethnic Song, some groups didn't do a good job so   Mr Sadrakh asked them to perform again on Thursday and it is our last chance to get a better score.

We had a music written test on major scales (1# to 4#, 1b and 2b), inversions and transposition. I was sure that I got correct answers in some questions but at the same time I think i did some mistakes.

22 August 2011 Music Reflection

During the music theory session my groups did powerpoint presentation again because Grace said that our scores are so low but I think i did a good job because I got 7 out of 8. Actually all of us got 8 at the end (only violin students) , the story begins during our music instrument class. Mr Sadrakh told us our final score, some students got 8 and some just improved a little. Grace complained about getting 6.5 because she did all the work (we wanted to do it to but she insisted on doing it by herself) so at the end Grace got a 6. then someone said just give everyone a 8 and Mr Sadrakh agreed......! Best Instrument Class Ever!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

We had our Presentation today and my group was the first toe present. When the gamelan music started Mr Sadrakh asked my group to dance but only Edward did it..ha..ha..ha..ha..ha..ha..ha..ha. We had fun and also learned more about Indonesian Music and the Instruments.

Mr Sadrakh asked us to make a blog to type our Music Reflection online and he told us that our next assessment is making a Slideshow Presentation about Indonesian Music, our groups are our instrument classmates... that means that i am with Grace, Monica, Victoria, Lakeisha, Edward, Darren and Patrick.

We had to sing our assessment which is singing Indonesia Pusaka. I was so nervous, I thought i was going to forget the lyrics but i didn't and the best part is that i got a full and perfect score.

Today I found out that our 1st music assessment was to sing and Indonesian song, Indonesia Pusaka. When if found out that this assessment was due at 4 August, which to me is a very short time to practice because as people say "time flys so fast".

25 July 2011 Music Reflection

During the Music Theory session, we had to choose which instrument class we want to be in. There are 4 instrument options, the 1st is piano, 2nd is violin, 3rd is guitar and the 4th is woodwind. I first picked guitar along with 3 girls but then Mr Sadrakh moved the 3 girls and i was the only girl left. There 2 reasons why i moved to violin, Grace asked me to move to violin and i didn't want to be the only girl there.
